Vasowatch was founded by two University of Pennsylvania faculty members, Stefanie Modri, MSN, RN, C-MNN, and James Weimer PhD, BSEE.

Stefanie Modri is an obstetrics nurse with 24 years of clinical experience and a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.  Stefanie has focused on providing obstetrics care to underserved and minority populations in large urban hospitals throughout her career.

James Weimer is a computer engineer, medical device developer, and currently an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering.   Dr. Weimer’s research focuses on modeling variability and dataset shifts, removing anomalies to enable predictable performance of learning-enabled cyber-physical systems.

Christine Rohan is the CEO of Vasowatch and has held executive leadership roles at venture-financed technology startups and large companies, developing and launching software solutions and services to Fortune 100 payers and providers. During her 25 year GE career, she was an award winning strategist, value-based growth and global business development leader. She also served as Managing Director Innovation for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

They share a passion for improving maternal health outcomes and health equity.
